Who are you?
Aloha, love! I’m Ashley — writer, multi-faceted creative, and nature baby tuning in from our forest home on the slopes of Hualalai on Hawai’i island.
Born and raised on Hawai’i island, I have a degree in architecture, spent about a decade as a graphic designer, and another as a copywriter working with brands around the world to craft a more unique message before walking away to write a novel and, for a couple of years, work as an eco-tour guide for one of the best companies in Hawai’i.
Over the past handful of years, I also started a business with my woodworker husband, renovated our home, built a tiny hut, and always, always missed the kind of writing I used to do when blogging was a thing, but no matter how much I longed for it, my brain literally refused to enter the social media melee. All hail Substack.
Currently, I’m writing Stories from Stillness, querying my novel, running the business end of Lake House Woodwork, and hosting guests in the Tiny Hut we built.
I hold one tenet, dear: be kind and make it beautiful. Is that two? I do words, not maths.
Thank you for being part of the magic!
Mahalo nui loa,
