Aloha, I’m Ashley. I write about life through the lens of love for creative souls who seek to make life more beautiful. This is Tiny Wonders: Summer 24, where I share snippets of awe and reminders to pause in a fast-paced world.
On a coastal path, there is an unassuming rock you might walk past, except for the fact that it is marked with love. People have collected heart-shaped coral — which can be found in abundance along the shore — and settled them into the divots made by sand, sea, and air long before this rock was jettisoned, likely by massive surf, well inland of the high-tide line.
The contrast — black basalt, white coral — and the intention of those wanting to highlight love paused me enough to take a picture. Wouldn’t it be nice to see more of this kind of installation scattered about the world? Impermanent but eternal.
Exploration Invitation
Where could you inject reminders of love into your physical space? Where could you add them to the world (impermanently, of course, no spray paint or carving into live trees)? Where do they already exist? Look for them.
I love this, thank you 🙏🏻. And yes, impermanent yet eternal ✨
